FRP storage tanks generally consist of an inner lining and a winding layer. When selecting the material for the inner lining layer, in order to avoid strain concentration caused by the difference in elastic modulus between the glass fiber and the resin in the inner lining layer. The base material should be selected from resins with good toughness, high elongation, low curing shrinkage, and certain corrosion resistance; the reinforcing material should be selected from resins that have good wetting with the resin, have a small strain concentration coefficient after curing, and can maintain a high resin content. For discontinuous chopped fiber products, 45g / m2 surface felt, 450g / m2 chopped felt and glass cloth of common specifications are usually used. In the selection of the winding layer, a resin curing system should be selected reasonably. In this system, there is an appropriate proportional relationship between the catalyst and the initiator, which varies with the ambient temperature and the diameter of the tank. Generally speaking, their proportion in the resin needs to be controlled below 4%, and the design of the resin curing system should be based on a small sample test; the reinforcing material should be a non-twist continuous fiber roving with good wettability with the resin. Commonly used in production are 1% unsaturated polyacetate resin, 2400TEX alkali-wound yarn, alkali-free glass fiber reinforced plastic surface felt g / m2, 0.4mm alkali-free gingham, curing agent and accelerator.
The glass fiber reinforced plastic storage tank connection joint is made of epoxy glass fiber reinforced plastic laminate. Its main properties are bending strength 250M Pa, longitudinal tensile strength 300MPa, transverse tensile strength 200 M Pa, interlayer tensile strength 26 M Pa, punching and shearing. The strength is 174MPa.
